OSCE Chairmanship - Lithuania has organized a large scale Civil Society event in Vilnuis under the auspicies of the OSCE Ministerial Council which is on-going since 05.06.2011. There were two major events going on in the course of the weekend and on Monday - December 6th, the Mediterranean Partner Countries' Civil Society Conference and the Parallel Civil Society Forum.

While following the events in Russia, the Secretariat has made a decision to react publicly on the events with Golos. Furthermore, the group present in Vilnius has also created a strategy to seek for the support from the participants on both of the events. By joint efforts the following results have been achieved:
A total of 60 representatives of 53 organizations coming from 27 countries have signed the Petition for support of GOLOS (South Africa, Serbia, Belarus, Azerbaijan, Sweden, Georgia, Estonia, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Ukraine, United Kingdom, USA, Latvia, Belgium, Kyrgyzstan, France, Tunisia, Turkey, Russia, Montenegro, Macedonia, Albania, Moldova, Slovakia, Egypt, Poland, Jordan).

Furthermore, the petition with its summarized results has been handed over to the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, Lithuanian Foreign Minister Audronius Ažubalis at the end of the conference. Minister Ažubalis was supportive to our peers from Russia stating that he and his team will find a way of raising this issue at the Ministerial Council.
