Serbia - Center for Free Elections and Democracy (CeSID)
Centre for Free Elections and Democracy (CeSID) is a non governmental, non profit, non partisan organization established in 1997 in Belgrade that gathers citizens with the purpose to contribute to the establishment of the Rule of Law and the enhancement of democratic values and institutions in Serbia. Today CeSID consists out of central office and 18 regional offices/coordinators in which we educated and trained more than 20 000 election observers.
Since 1997 CeSID monitored 27 electoral processes in Serbia and Montenegro implementing PVT and PPVT methodology for the first time in Serbia. Also, CeSID experts were involved in large number of monitoring missions as a part of OCSCE, ODHIR, NDI and ENEMO organization.
Till now CeSID developed its activities within five programs, each encompassing various projects: Elections, Local Community Development, Education, Researches and Analysis, Transparency and Battle against Corruption.
