Armenia- Transparency International Anti-corruption Center (TIAC)
Transparency International Anticorruption Center (TIAC) is a non-partisan, non-governmental, non-for-profit organization, established in Yerevan, Armenia in 2000.
TIAC mission is to promote good governance in Armenia through reducing corruption and strengthening democracy. The goals of the organization are to support effective anti-corruption policy and transparent and accountable governance; to support holding of free, fair and transparent elections and the establishment of electoral institute; to promote reasonable, transparent and accountable public resource management, including the management of state and community property and financial resources; to foster democratic processes, including protection of human rights and public participation in the governance processes of the country.
Since 2003, TIAC has been monitoring different aspects of the national and local government elections in Armenia, including the political party finance, administrative resource use, voting numbers as well as short-term observation (from 2009). Since 2013, TIAC conducts short-term observation of elections as a member of ‘Citizen Observer Initiative’ - a coalition of Armenian NGOs. and participated in the observation of local government elections in about 100 communities, constitutional referendum of 2015 - in 500 communities and parliamentary elections of 2017 - in about 1500 communities throughout Armenia.
Since late 2014, TIAC is a member of European Platform for Democratic Elections (EPDE).
